I saw the Dover Demon!

This is my own artistic rendition of what I saw that night.

The house I lived in at the time is at 1910 Central Ave, in Needham. My family owned the house up until very recently. I am not sure of the exact date, it was sometime in the mid 1980s. I used to look out my bedroom window a lot. I would say it must've been around 1985 or 86. The time of day was dusk, and there was a lot of commuter traffic on Central Ave. I personally have no doubt that I did see the Dover Demon. I wonder have there ever been any other sightings besides the original sightings?

Here's from my journal entry (this was a recent recollection from June, 2004).

Back in the mid-80s I saw what I later learned was the Dover Demon when I was looking out my bedroom window one night at the passing cars around dusk. What I saw was a small humanoid like creature with its hands on the guard rail, it was so bizarre I actually went out in the driveway to get a better look. At the time, we lived one house away from the Dover townline (across the Charles River) and I wrote it off as a bizarre incident. It wasn't until the internet age I learned a similar spotting took place in Dover in 1977 and the creature has been known as the Dover Demon.

The Demon didn't move at all while I looked out the 2nd floor window at it across the busy road at dusk during rush hour. Because it was dusk, it was hard to tell what color he was, what with the flashing headlights, waning sunlight and the angle I saw him, but he seemed to have a pale glow to him. He rested his hands on the guardrail and was looking out at the traffic zipping by as if he were contemplating what he should do next.

At the time I figured it must've been a raccoon or something like that, but it definitely must've been something bizarre enough to get me out of my room and down to the driveway to take a better look. The only thing is this things head was definitely oval like and not pointy. By the time I got down to the driveway though, he was gone.

I recently joked with some of my friends wondering what the Dover police would think if I were to tell them about the sighting, although I guess I'd technically have to tell the Needham police since our house was in Needham.
